Welcome To Our School

It is an honor to introduce myself as the new Principal of Paradise Creek Regional High School.  I am thrilled to join this impactful school community and continue providing our students with a truly unique learning environment that offers the tools required to be successful academically, socially, and emotionally in high school and beyond.

I have worked as an educator and administrator in the greater Nashville area for the past 14 years.  My experience includes serving as Dean of Culture in an urban elementary setting, Principal Designee of a Title I elementary school, District Coordinator of math, science, and arts for all middle schools in Sumner County Schools, and finally Principal of Station Camp Middle School, a suburban middle school located just north of Nashville, TN.  While we have enjoyed our time in Tennessee, my wife Angie and I both attended the University of Idaho and have been wanting to move, with our six-year-old son Crosby, back to the family-centered environment of Moscow, ID. This truly is a homecoming for my family.

PCRHS is a small but mighty school and our students thrive within the close-knit group that forms over a school year.  Full-time students take four credits per quarter, eight per semester, and sixteen per year. Our students find concentrating on fewer subjects to be an easier load, despite the accelerated pace of our classes.  In addition to our full-time students, we serve Latah County students who need credit retrieval and want to take a class at the end of their regular school day. Our fourth-period classes offer an alternative option to correspondence courses to make up credits. (See the schedule for our fourth-period offerings on our website).

If you are a student or parent of a student in Latah County considering an alternative setting for your education, feel free to make an appointment to visit with our counselor, see the facility, and learn more about PCRHS.  Also, my door is always open.  I welcome and encourage your input throughout the school year, so please do not hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

Brian Smith
